A Magistrate Court sitting in Owerri, Imo State, has remanded a 28-year-old man, Uzochukwu Ikenna Wisdom, in a correctional facility over allegations of sexual extortion and the unlawful distribution of intimate images.
According to reports, the suspect made it a habit to secretly record young women during private and intimate moments. He would then use the explicit videos to threaten, blackmail, and extort his victims whenever conflicts arose in their relationships.
The law caught up with Wisdom when he allegedly shared nude images and videos of his girlfriend of two years on Facebook and TikTok, with the alleged intention of selling the explicit content to adult websites.
Following his arrest, police investigation into his mobile phone uncovered numerous explicit videos of various young women who are also suspected to be his victims.
