Firefighters from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are battling a fire explosion at the Bono Energy Terminal located on the Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, by Coconut Bus Stop, Olodi Apapa, Lagos.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, drew emergency responders to the energy facility. Personnel of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service were deployed to the scene to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
Officials said firefighting operations are currently in progress at the terminal. The cause of the explosion has not been confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
There are no confirmed details yet on casualties or the extent of damage to the facility.
Motorists and residents around Coconut, Olodi Apapa have been advised to avoid the area to allow emergency crews unhindered access.
