Nigeria’s Super Eagles have gotten their international friendly campaign on track with a 2-1 win over World Cup-bound Iran in Turkey.
Moses Simon and Akor Adams were the heroes, scoring early and mid-game goals to give Nigeria the lead. However, Iran’s Mehdi Taremi pulled one back in the 67th minute, setting up a tense finish.
The win sets the tone for Nigeria’s upcoming match against Jordan on Tuesday at 6:30PM (Nigeria time).
