A 27-year-old Brazilian influencer, Kauana Bilhar, has died after falling from the 27th floor of a skyscraper in Dubai.
Her mother, Darla Bilhar, confirmed the death in an emotional social media tribute on Wednesday, July 8. Kauana had recently traveled to the United Arab Emirates.
According to reports, Kauana’s partner, Barbara Abrantes, was with her at the time and informed the family of the incident. The exact date of the incident has not been officially confirmed.
Authorities in Dubai have not released a conclusion on the cause of the fall. Brazilian outlet _Globo_ reported that investigations are ongoing to determine whether it was an accident, suicide, or involved foul play.
In a tribute posted on Instagram, her mother wrote:
“There are no words capable of expressing the magnitude of the longing you left behind. Today you are no longer by my side as I dreamed, but you will live forever within me. I love you infinitely, my girl. Until the day we can meet again.”
Darla Bilhar said she has traveled to Dubai to meet with investigators and make arrangements to repatriate her daughter’s body to Brazil.
Kauana Bilhar had more than 21,000 followers on Instagram, where she shared content about travel, fashion, and lifestyle. She and Barbara Abrantes had recently celebrated their engagement, according to posts on her social media.
Addressing online comments following her announcement, Darla asked for respect for her daughter’s memory.
“It is with my soul in pieces that I come to speak out. My daughter deserves respect,” she wrote.
The investigation by Dubai authorities remains ongoing.
